So far I have had this ASUS eee PC 1000HE for a few days, and I have to say it is exactly what I expected. Light, vesatile, easy to use, and good quality. The keyboard becomes intuitive after just a few uses (even for a fast but sloppy typer like myself). The touch pad features do take a little getting used to, but still are fun to use. The best part is you do not have to use it if you dont want to. The battery (after the intial charge) ran about 7 hours under 'auto power' mode, without even having to disable Bluetooth & WLAN.
Removing the bloatware was rather quick, as was configuring the wireless network. In no time, I was surfing the net, viewing news and Youtube videos with very little (if any) lag. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product. Download Media Player 11 and set up and use Media Center - you can stream music & video back and forth from your network (and XBOX 360) effortlessly. And wirelessly.
